I am working on a new book entitled <All sides of Glass Strips>. In this digital world full of e-books, I want to have it printed again. This time I also want to make an English version. This project is likely to be a two-stage missile. First in Dutch and then in English. Although I don’t set a deadline for myself, the project is certainly serious!
Based on the glass plate, a strip or strip of glass is a great semi-finished product. Suitable for rhythms and color mixing, lines and subtle reactions. Many ways of working with glass strips are known and variations are still being devised. To my knowledge, there are these three basic ways of fusing: 1) Vertical fusing 2) Horizontal fusing 3) Bending the strips first and fuse as if it were braided The book starts with a relevant theoretical part. This partly overlaps information from my Dutch book GLASBEWERKEN. I will put in additional information such as color theory and fresh knowledge about cold techniques. After the first part with the theory, the parts Fusing techniques strips Vertically and Fusing techniques strips Horizontally follow. Finally, various mixed techniques are described.
